Studio Name

Studio Fotografico Nadar

For over 40 years, I have been telling stories through photography, but it is in maternity, newborn, and family photography that I have found my most authentic voice. Every image is born from the desire to preserve what is fragile and precious: an ожидание, a breath, a bond that is growing.

I recently opened my new studio-atelier in a truly special place—an old mill nestled in the countryside of Canavese. It is not just a workspace, but a home-studio designed to welcome families in a warm, intimate, and natural way. Here, time slows down, soft light fills the rooms, and every detail is thoughtfully created to make you feel at ease, just like at home.

My approach is guided by listening and sensitivity. I allow moments to unfold naturally, always respecting the rhythm of newborns and the emotions of parents, creating images that are honest, elegant, and timeless. Every session is an experience, not just a photoshoot.

I deeply believe in the value of tangible memories: photographs are fragments of life meant to be held, lived, and passed on. For this reason, I guide each family in choosing fine-art prints, crafted to last over time and become part of their story.

After so many years, I still feel moved by the simple beauty of new beginnings. That is what I strive to preserve, every single day, through my work.

Winning photos

In photographing this girl I was thrilled by her beauty and her naturalness in posing, this was one of the last shots. I wanted to create an "ethereal" image, to create it I took great care of the position of the lights and I overexposed the background so as to flood it with light. Finally, I gave some instructions for laying and this is the result.

To create images of this type I illuminate by overexposing the backdrop, I put the wind machine in front of the subject and an assistant moves the chiffon cloth throwing it several times until we get an interesting shape. The shape of the drape that resembles the butterfly’s wings was a gust of wind ... but also a lucky break !!
The mother, standing on tiptoe, looks like she's about to take flight. Enchanting.

In making this image we have chosen to use only one color, so the background, the cap, and the bear are all the same tonality of beige.
As illumination, we used two lights: the main diffused and smooth given by a large bank placed slightly to the right of baby and the other one softer placed just behind.

I have been doing pregnancy portraits for many years and I often look for new solutions, experiment with new points of view and different shots.
In this case, since I have a 5-meter high studio with a mezzanine, I wanted to try a shot from above and it turned out to be quite enough easy. I took care of every detail: the pose of the woman and the light: both the light direction and the lighting contrast. In post-production, I edited the background. At first, it was a very normal gray paper background so I added a texture. I was satisfied with the final result, It is a little different than the usual pregnancy portraits.

Kids' games shape the men of tomorrow, they look at the world with curious and innocent eyes. Thanks to these games kids find out about the world, imitate adults, pretending to be explorers, aviators or anyone else...
So I thought to the set, as a child would have done, in this case, the child pretended to be an aviator, tomorrow perhaps he will be a doctor and the day after he will be a scientist. This is the children's world that step by step will contribute to make him the man of tomorrow.
