Second Collection
I was out chasing mist with my daughter on a cold winter morning. That morning the mist was underwhelming but as we were driving home I saw the first morning rays streaming through the trees. My now hungry daughter said she would run and give me one twirl and then she wanted to go home for breakfast. This is the one twirl, which is all it took!!
This beautiful little girl, Manuela, let me to keep telling her story. I met her when she was just 11 days old, when we experienced a beautiful photoshooting session; and now, after 9 month, I have the pleasure to meet her again to capture with my camera her movements again. For me, to have the privilege of watching her to grows and being part of her story is one of the biggest satisfactions for me and my profession.<br />
A new session, with a bigger girl but with the same sweetness of her first daysβ¦
This is baby Jack and Sasha is his boxer dog. She was very interested in him and even cuddled him at one point during the session. I have a feeling these two will be best of friends.
This picture portrays the true innocence and sweetness of this little girl! She loves the camera and we had so much fun doing this quick little photo shoot!
Sweet princess, if through this wicked witch's trick, a spindle should your finger prick... a ray of hope there still may be in this, the gift I give to thee. Not in death, but just in sleep, the fateful prophecy you'll keep. And from this slumber, you shall wake, when true love's kiss, the spell shall break.
Domenica is a niece of my heart. Her mom and dad are two of my best friends and they brought her to my studio for a Newborn session when she was 12 days old. This little lady was just the best! She went into this perfect froggy pose so easily that I couldn't believe it. Just beautiful to me!
The image is of baby Tjalfe age 4 months. After struggling with kolik since birth this is one of the first pictures of him smiling. Tjalfe is sitting in a vintage milk bucket from the fifties.
The mom of these adorable children wanted photos that captured their bond, so I suggested she bring their Pj's to the studio and I can setup a bed (Using a thick quilt and some pillows on my wood background) , I love photos of children reading books. I also love having children feel comfortable and happy at the studio, and this photo was definitely worth it.
Having Triplets myself I was ecstatic when I booked a newborn session with Triplet Girls. These sweet girls did great at their session. I'm so happy we got this image. It will be a treasure for their family forever.
On this photo, mom informed me of her name and that she wanted to include as much purple as possible. I bought the flowers the morning of and had a vision in my mind the minute I got into my studio. Violet brought it to like with her sweet little face!
This beautiful baby is Lorenzo, who, by being premature, arrived at my Studio over 30 days old. Although older than my normal newborns he was super quiet and captured me with all his sweetness. What completed this image was his grandmothersβ request to take a photo of Lorenzo with his aunt. I said sure! She sent someone to pick her up and when I saw this beautiful girl and took the picture of them I fell in love.
As much as your eye immediately goes to this adorable baby boy in this photo, one of the things that I strive to do is create unique textures and looks to each session. I never want the texture or color to distract or over power from the beauty of a newborn baby, but instead compliment the scene and bring it all together as one.
Henry and Chief are a great partnership, Henry leading the way and constantly getting the poor hound into trouble! They have been an inspiration for me to develop my photography skills - capturing images for families to have forever is such a privilege. And as for Henry and Chief, I am sure there are many more adventures to come.
These are actually my 2 sweet kids, Grace and Luke. Their mama got a new lens and camera body and they were so cooperative in letting me try them both out! In this image they are playing Ring Around A Rosie and just having fun at a gorgeous park in New Haven, where the cherry blossoms were amazing! I will cherish this image forever!
"Ode to Audrey"- This picture was intended as a test shot for a vintage session done inspired by Audrey Hepburn. I loved how the light really translated well in black and white and gave it a little more of the vintage touch.
Since I was a little girl, I wanted to capture those beautiful moments in my life. Now, I spend my days photographing the worlds finest treasures, newborns. Grateful with every parent that allows me to photograph their bundles of love.
This image was not planned at all. I bounced him to sleep on my forearm and had to change my planned pose completely. My original set went out the window. This set up ended up being my favorite of the whole session.
This gorgeous little girl was an absolute gem. We had baby Ariana positioned on the bean bag on a light pink coloured blanket. We decided to drape the bright pink popcorn blanket around her to look as though she was tucked up in bed all snug. One of my favourite images.
Baby Sienna was quite a big girl at 18 days old, but an absolute angel. As most of my clients are in Manhattan, it is hard for them to control the temperature of their apartments - but having gone through hurricane Sandy, Sienna's parents new exactly how to keep the apartment nice and toasty. Being a newborn photographer I am VERY used to working in hot conditions, but with the oven open keeping the apartment at the perfect temperature, I have never sweat so much during a job LOL! Baby Sienna absolutely loved it though and slept the whole entire time - she barely wanted to feed in-between setups!
These are my family: my husband and my third daughter Vanessa who is 4 months old on this photo. We were sitting in the Italian restaurant waiting for our meals to arrive. Vanessa was next to us in her pram shining with the sweetest baby smile you could ever imagine. I told my husband: "just look at her!" He turned his eyes on Vanessa, started for 2 seconds and suddenly a tear rolled down his cheek. He picked up our baby girl, wrapped her tiny body in his big arms, closed his eyes, kisses her and I heard: " thank you for giving me this beautiful flower, I'm so happy I could cry ..." And these two had their daddy&daughter moment. Even if I didn't have my iPhone with me I would borrow someone else's just to memorize and have this sincere moment of pure love and gratitude forever.
We chose this outfit with the parents as the elephants bring good luck. This premature little angel pulled out all her strength after she was born, and showed us what it means to be a fighter!
Vicente is the main protagonist of a story full of wishes and so much love... A very special baby who gave to his mother the most important gift: the gift of feeling magical sensations impossible to forget... the gift of enjoying her beautiful present time with all the senses. When she thought she could never have a treasure like him in her life, the destiny transformed her in a mother. The miracle was done. For me, as a photographer, it was a wonderful experience. A photo shooting full of love and emotion which left a mark on me.
Mason was 2 weeks old in this image. It's hard to believe that this handsome little man is one now! We wanted to go for a clean classic look throughout his session. His mama did fantastic job on his wardrobe.
Matias came to my studio for his Newborn photo shoot with his mom and grandmother. He was so peaceful and sleepy! His mom calls him Teddy Bear, that's why I tried to give her this special picture of his newborn son.
This setup took a few tries to get it looking perfect, And I actually got help from my five year old son in cutting the twigs and arranging them, the little boy was perfect for this setup and it is one my favourite images that I have taken.
The smirking photo was one of those once in a lifetime, split second, oh my gosh hurry up and get her in focus shots! I was so excited when I opened it to edit and it was actually in focus.
The sweet baby Sofia was 7 days old and she was lovely during the session. In attendance were the young mother and father as well as both grandmothers. The joy and excitement from all were priceless! This photo utilized an assistant to produce a composite, because as always, Baby Safety First!
