First Collection
This is actually my daughter Sullivan Mae with my horse Dawn. I got Dawn when I was 12 and have had her for 19 years. I showed her competitively through the American Quarter Horse Association until I retired her a few years ago.
When Sullivan was born she was instantly attracted to animals, especially Dawn. Before she could speak she would say "neigh" and point to the door asking to go to the barn.
As Dawn is getting older, I know our time with her is shorter than I would like to admit and my days of watching the love between my daughter and my horse will not be forever.
My goal with this shoot was to document their relationship, their bond, the peace they have with each other and their comfort of just being next to each other. It's an image I will cherish forever.
I did this shooting and the set up for the brand Belandsoph in spain and I just let the girls play and I just captured the moment.
I remember the day of Baptist's shooting like if it was yesterday. I came from a bad week, those bad weeks you have once in a while... But when I got to Baptist's home, everything changed. The good family vibes and the calm mood made everything perfect from the beginning.
It was a grey day outside with heavy rains, but it was inside that I met a little ray of light who lit all around. He was a little disturbed about the noise outside, and I had to find the way to make my thing, but making him felt good too. And like I heard somebody sad once: "baby wrapped and warm, is a quiet baby", and that was my photo result.
The colors where chosen to represent calm, and to have inside a blue sky for us, to make complete the scene inside: the sun and the sky together.
Baby Charlotte was 14 days old in this picture. She was an angel throughout her entire session with mom at her side. I wanted a bright color behind Charlotte and wanted to keep it simple to showcase and focus on this calm-tempered, beautiful baby.
I was shooting the beautiful Andreas, 5 days old, at his parent's. We were simply doing some lifestyle snapshots of the whole family before we got him undressed to take some posed ones. His dad picked him up, waiting for his mom to come, and he held him like this. Andreas was sleeping tight and I absolutely had to take a picture of him!
I met a family in South Carolina for a newborn session that wanted to do a photo of their new baby with their dog, just like a photo they saw on Pinterest. I was so nervous and eager to go above and beyond their expectations- and luckily, they had the most cooperative dog and calm, happy baby! I was able to capture this photo and a few others similar during this session.
This is my baby and her most beloved monkey, named Muzzy. Muzzy is rarely out of her sight. On this day, i had woken her up, brought her into my bed, and she just held on tight as she was waking up. Snuggling is always a good way to start the day!
I had the privilege of meeting this little guy when he was just a week old. His sweet mommy brought him back to me to capture his 6 month milestone. I love watching these little babies grow!
This is four week old Maverick. This little guy is my best friend's baby and I was thrilled to do his newborn pictures. My normal style of photography is more lifestyle/natural, however, I am still a sucker for putting babies in baskets! And...with the name Maverick, how could I resist a 'Top Gun' aviator styled shot? This particular shot definitely required patience! Once I finally got him in a deep sleep I was able to slide the sunglasses on him and I snapped away!
I was photographing this family for a holiday mini session, hence, the green. I love photographing my subjects from a journalistic perspective. So, this little girl kept on walking back and forth on the stone ledge like a tightrope. I just kept on clicking and caught her with her arms out, looking down. The difference with the original, is that it was not snowing this day. I wanted to add more personality to the photo. So I added a snow overlay, so it looks like a child playing in the snow. Therefore, the rest is history.
Since Stevee Rhae became a big sister, in March, she is really protective of her little sister Wooby (Ruby!). She loves her so much and watches over her. She is the best big sister! There were many cute images of these sisters but this one spoke volumes!
It must be a curse for mommy photographers to have their own children hate to smile for the camera. I have come to realize this with my own two-year-old daughter. My husband and I took our daughter to a beautiful garden on a rather warm day in Florida, and I was about ready to give up trying to capture a photo of my child smiling. Every time I would say "Sophia, smile for mommy!" I would get a "NO!" or simply be ignored. That's the life we live, right? It was Sophia's idea to rest under a gazebo in the rose garden. I was very lucky to glance over at her at this exact moment, because she had not only naturally propped her legs up on the bench, but had this subtle smile playing across her lips. The lighting just added to the wonder of this image. Whether it was the roses, butterflies or just that moment that made her smile, I finally got my photo... and I learned that children will eventually do what you ask of them, just give them time.
This beautiful little girl's name is Lydia. She was born to a set of wonderful parents who chose to have a home birth with a midwife versus going to the hospital. With no complications what so ever Lydia came into the world on February 19th 2016. I must say she was a dream baby for her session, slept like a rock and so beautiful!
This young lady is just a doll to work with. I have photographed her many times the past couple years. She is a free spirit and comes off so effortlessly on camera. She is a photographers dream, that's for sure!
This little girl just turned five, and to celebrate the occasion, we set up an Audrey Hepburn inspired photography session. Together, we set up a Breakfast at Tiffanyโs themed photography session at a local mall. A beautiful and elegant black dress was custom designed for her, and her props ranged from Tiffany and Co. shopping bags to matching shoes and even a 'Tiffany's blue' colored doughnut!
New bed prop and a new beautiful baby girl! What an irresistible combination, and I just had to capture it!
This young lady's family is one of my favorite bunch of people! Sadly her oldest sister is disabled and needs around the clock care which makes it very difficult to leave the house, let alone go trekking into the woods.
Summer, sea, beach and adorable twins! One of my favorite shooting. They played with each other, run and then suddenly the music started and they started to dance. It was so cute. They are very happy babies because they have a best friends from their birth.
This is little Martina. She is half Ecuadorian, half Ukrainian. I met her when her parents came to my studio for a newborn session and they came back exactly 6 months later. She's one of the prettiest little girls I've ever met and the owner of a smile as bright as the sun. This picture was printed on canvas as a gift for her Ukrainian grandparents who met her for the first time 2 weeks after this photo shoot. I'm so happy for being part of such a tender moment.
Just 7 days old beautiful babygirl, my first model in my brand new studio. She was nothing but PERFECT, she has slept through the shooting and the result was a number of amazing pictures for her proud parents.
The improbable baby on my photo is called Dmitry, 11 days. His image to trifles has been thought over in advance and the newborn has perfectly united to this scenery. I always tremblingly stack newborns in the coziest and safe poses, emphasizing beauty and singularity of the little person.
I'm a photographer since when I was a child, because of my father's passion, when I grew up I realized that I couldn't do better job that makes me feel excited how like taking photos , mostly of children.
It was a late summer afternoon in Santiago, Chile. We were walking up a hill when Emilia made friends with a wild bunny. It was unexpected and it happened very fast, a truly unforgettable magic moment.
I did not expected the dog to come to the shooting, but when I saw it I knew it would be a great opportunity to have something different, something special. The only thing I had to do was to wait... Wait for the perfect moment to come. This is one of the most important aspect of this art: patience.
Capturing that single moment when they looked at each other it was magical; without saying nothing, their eyes connected so perfectly like they were talking to each other... saying everything without words... like two friends who trust and believe in the connection between them. An image that say more than a thousand words....
Easter Bunny , what are you bringing for me this time around? Oh wow a beautiful little new baby boy! So Peaceful! So Perfect! Thank you Easter Bunny!
It was time after pouring rain and shooting with beautiful little girl Maria and her best friend - english bulldog Ozzy. She likes her dog very much! And it was great pleasure for me to see they cute relationship. Kids with their pets always look very nice and sweet.
The photo with newborn Sofia (9 days) one of my favourite. We have given her the name "Little Miss Autumn" as the baby was born in autumn time. To select details for my photoshoots - one of my hobbies, each fabric, each subject and the baby with love keep within me on the place. I don't like to repeat in the photoshoots and each baby inspires me on creation something new, special, memorable.
