One Hundred and Twenty-First Collection
This portrait is very special to me because it is my daughter. In this quiet moment, she is peacefully sleeping, wrapped in warmth and surrounded by nature. As her mother, I see not only a newborn portrait, but a memory of her first days - so tiny, so gentle, and already so deeply loved!
I have been creating maternity portraits for over forty years, and I believe that experimenting with new techniques is essential to keep growing as an artist. I love using color to create unusual and contemporary images, while always maintaining an elegant and essential style.
To celebrate Veronica's pregnancy, I wanted a portrait with strong visual impact. I used two stripboxes with red gels placed behind the subject to create depth, while the main light, modified with a blue gel and positioned frontally, sculpted her face and body with an almost cinematic atmosphere.
But technique alone is never enough. The most important element is always the person in front of the lens: every maternity shoot must be an authentic experience, one where a woman feels beautiful, strong and welcomed.
For me, photographing a pregnancy is a true act of love — a way to celebrate the waiting, the transformation, and the arrival of a new life, creating an eternal memory of one of the most precious moments in existence.
"Waiting for a Miracle"
An artistic portrait imbued with silence and power. The expectant mother sits on a pedestal, like a Renaissance sculpture, draped in flowing fabrics of warm, natural hues. The textured dark background accentuates her figure, while the soft waves of her hair and her direct gaze into the lens create a sense of intimate dialogue with the viewer. This work is a hymn to femininity and the thrill of anticipation of a new life. A classic, told through the contemporary cinematic language of photography.
Tiny little hands, a peaceful gaze, and a hug full of dream!!!
The sweetest calmness hidden within a small moment of love and innocence!!
Very happy and honored for this award 🤍
But even happier to create little pieces of memories for families who want to cherish these precious first moments forever.
This picture tells a story of authentic, modern motherhood — honest, emotional, and full of warmth. Breastfeeding a baby is an incredibly intimate moment, one that represents comfort, connection, and unconditional love. This image captures that bond in a very artistic and genuine way.
Presented in black and white, it draws the viewer’s attention entirely to the connection between the mother and her sleeping child. The woman’s closed eyes convey a sense of calmness and quiet reflection, as if time has briefly stood still in this tender moment.
The composition is beautifully balanced: the light creates strong contrasts while softly shaping the faces, giving the image both depth and warmth. The tattoos add a striking visual contrast to the gentle scene, bringing individuality and character to the portrait. The blurred foreground frames the moment naturally, making it feel observed rather than staged. The child’s completely relaxed posture enhances the feeling of trust, safety, and closeness.
A portrait of this beautiful little lady Mila. The combination with the old camera works really well.
Everyday life makes it easy to forget the quiet magic of childhood. Small hands, wide eyes, barefoot through the world — until one day, these moments are memories.
Through maternity photography, I tell the profound beauty of a woman who brings new life into the world. Nothing is more powerful or wonderful.
For Ombretta's portrait, I chose simplicity: a white backdrop lit by two stripboxes and a soft frontal light, creating a bright, timeless image. A simple white silk drape, moved by a fan, became part of the scene — almost an extension of the expectant mother's body and energy.
But the heart of my work is always the connection: making Ombretta feel at ease, guiding her gently through each movement, and letting her feel like an active part of the creative process.
That is where photography truly begins — and it is in that moment that a single shot captures all the magic, strength and femininity of motherhood.
"Breath of Spring"
A delicate, almost watercolor-like portrait. Her long chestnut hair is adorned with vibrant blue flowers that echo the depth of her eyes. Soft light, natural beauty, and a subtle half-smile create an atmosphere of lightness and purity. Nothing superfluous—just a gaze that stops time. This work speaks to the viewer in a whisper, and therein lies its strength.
