You know that feeling when you go to the antique store to hunt for some awesome props and you actually find it? I found this little bed from 1960s still brand new in its original box, you can only imaging the excitement I felt and I couldn’t wait to use it. This little guy rocked his newborn session and this bed was a perfect prop.
There was just something about the softness and sweetness of this portrait I took of my youngest baby girl that resonates with me...the light, how peaceful she is, and just the innocence portrayed. We have this portrait framed and hanging in our home for us to enjoy every day.
Many fairytale dreams and wishes are made from this little Princess' bed. Sweet Hunter just couldn't wait to show me her special spot at Nana's house. The lighting in this room was all natural light coming from these gorgeous windows, making this the perfect spot to capture this wonderful image.
If you dare to be who you were created to be then you will set the world on fire. That's really why I love to photograph children, they do not tend to pose, to be someone they aren't, they don't think about looking the best they can, they just ARE and so automatically their beautiful soul enganges with the composition.
I have been doing newborn photography for under a year and fell in love with composites and the fun and exciting images that I can create and bring to new parents!
This mother told me that his nursery was elephant themed and I was so excited to create something that would match his room perfectly!
What better way to celebrate turning ONE, than to do a Unicorn Theme Cake Smash Session! Here are some adorable first birthday portraits of Baby R, who recently celebrated with a stylized cake smash photoshoot at my Toronto studio. I just adore Baby R in all of these photos…her entire gallery makes me smile. She was a little shy at first, but quickly warmed up once we brought out the cake and smiled for the rest of the session. Every detail was carefully planned and coordinated - the gold unicorn horn headband, rosette covered pastel pink cake matched with pink and gold tassel garland. What a fun cake smash session it was!
This tree is blooming and full of life, as are these sweet baby girls. I envisioned this photo before the session and it's dear to my heart as one of these babies was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis after she was born and I think this portrait is a tribute to her strength and her sweetness, and she has her twin sister always at her side.
This is a portrait of my own sweet girl. She has so much personality and while sometimes she is a goofy bundle of energy, at heart she is a bit of an old soul, much like my husband and I. In this moment, I caught a genuine glimpse of her...just as she is, and her heart spoke to my heart, and we understood each other perfectly.
Even before the advent of cameras capable of catching millions of flowers, people were shooting expensive moments from their life. Not being able to photograph in color, they, without knowing it, did truly masterpiece shots.
What could be easier? Meet the newborn.
