Located in NE Pennsylvania I was honored to have a client drive all the way down from Manhattan to have me photograph their sweet baby, Nathaniel. He was born in the city where his parents met and it was important to them to pay homage to the place where it all began. We dressed him in a little vintage newsboy outfit and tucked him up nice and snuggly in an old leather suitcase. All we needed was the NY Times from the day he was born to bring it all together in this timeless shot. He slept like an angel and was a dream baby to photograph.
An old English phonecall, a little girl & boy, some presents and a beautiful location in The Netherlands are the ingredients for this warm & old-fashioned Christmas feeling. For a moment we went back in time and however, the girl and boy had never met before they laughed, played, danced and a new friendship started to grow.
For me, this photo just captured the essence of Christmas - finding a quiet moment from all the chaos and just enjoy something that makes you happy - like playing with a truck. This little guy with his flaming red hair found that moment away from his two sisters and the craziness of the session and I was so happy I could get in in-camera. With the low light and dark background, it just reminded me of an old painting.
Thank you so much for including my photo in your 44 collection. I get so excited and so over the moon when receiving an email announcing my photo has been selected for one of your collections.
When mum asked if I could include some autumnal colours, I must admit I did do a little happy dance. So in love with these warm autumn colours right now. How warm and cozy do 12 days new Sienna look?
Weather in Texas can be unpredictable, to say the least. The day before and the day after this session, it was cold and rainy. We debated on rescheduling but decided to move forward the day of the session. I'm so happy we did. The weather was perfect and the sunset over the lake was beautiful.
A few days before this shooting I read this quote from Erica Jong: "“No state is so similar to the madness to one side, and the other to the divine, as being pregnant. The mother is doubled, then divided in half and never again she’ll be whole.”
With this shot, inspired by this quote, I wanted to represent the beauty of pregnancy. The body changes and grows and that one makes two.
Maor is a sweet and beautiful 3-year-old boy.
I shot it in the woods and then we moved to the sea,
When we got to the sea there were lots of fishermen around, so I told myself how nice it would be to build fishing vessels for him as well.
I collected some seashells, used a thread that is always in my bag for all kinds of occasions,
I found a stick,
And here's fishing gear for him too.
My photo session with Nofar gave me a moment of happiness.
I meat a magical girl who connected me with today's girls to the girls of my time. On the one hand gentle, innocent and natural and on the other hand full of confidence and connection to the camera like today's girls, which brought this image to one great charm.
This is a beautiful picture of my best friend and her sweet baby Danial. The definition of photography for me is beyond capturing pictures. It is more defined as feeling love and transferring that feeling in different ways. At this moment, I captured a beautiful, pure love and a strong emotional bond between a mother and a baby.
This is Kinsley! Every year I choose a different theme for Christmas portraits and this year we chose to do them on the vintage train car at the Allentown and Auburn RR. The lighting was perfection coming through the old glass windows and the entire session was reminiscent of times passed. We let each child explore the train and look out the windows telling them to look for Santa in the sky or Rudolph in the snow. They had such a blast and sweet little Kinsley was able to give me this adorable shot as the last photo of the day!
