Forty-Second Collection
Boston here is a rainbow baby. His big brother passed away at just one day old. Boston came to me for his rainbow baby newborn session and wasn't a big fan of me posing him. Mom brought along this little teddy bear that belonged to his brother and as soon as I laid it next to him, he snuggled right up and fell fast asleep. I know mom and dad will treasure this image forever.
I can't quite reach it! Elli trying to get the reddest apple from the apple tree. She DID succeed with a little help from momma. This was the last batch of apples we could pick before the season ended so all the kiddos were super happy to get one.
Be brave, independent, take risks and fill your soul with adventures. Just like this wonderful 2-year-old boy on the photo. This work represents him & his great-grandfather.
Sweetest little guy, looked so cute holding this little heart <3 I like using a lot of neutral colors in my work but also I love being able to use bright colours in images and this blue is one of my favourites
Baby Isabelle came to visit my studio and Mum wanted an Autumnal theme, couldn't resist getting out the colorful pumpkins and a bright knitted pompom hat that my sister knitted for me. She slept right through her shoot and was a dream to photograph x
Baby Pearl has the perfect name, her beauty reflected and shine with pure simplicity and radiance like a true pearl. My focus on her session was on her eyes and per mom's request, I kept it as simple as possible to bring all her beauty as the main focus of her first birthday session. I loved how a pink pearl feels shine throughout her session. One of the best parts of portrait photography is to get the most of an image you need less to work with. I used one light source to keep contrast and texture on my image, and it worked perfectly.
How can kids grow up fast? In this photo, my son Gregory is 7 years and 11 months old, and daughter Julian is 1 year and 11 months old. I did not notice how quickly they grew.
When I look at this photo, it makes me feel so many emotions. This is their second baby girl and I find it so important to take a photo of just parents and baby before also adding in siblings. Her little smirk says it all.
From the moment this little girl came to our studio, she was so relaxed and really enjoyed my hands while posing her.
With this cute, completely relaxed face, we didn't want to create a typical soft pink newborn picture. We searched for a little mystery in the picture by using warm, red colors.
This was my fourth session with this family. Quite often in newborn shoots, dads can take a bit of a backseat, especially when there is a toddler to entertain. This lovely tender impromptu moment between dad and his two babies was captured towards the end of our session together.
We had a great time trying out this new idea. The only lighting I used here was the tree. These four were so great to work with.
The connection is always the key for me in pictures. This connection between mom and her baby is so sweet and, lucky me, magic happened and the little one smiled as her mom touched her nose.
I followed this young woman and her husband during his marriage and made a special connection. Her complicated pregnancy necessitated my moving home as soon as she had the right to get up. We took a lot of care to keep her physically clean and the session was held in the small park adjoining her home in natural light.
The beauty of a perfect creation of nature the apple. It protects humanity and is the object of affection and attraction for a lovely girl.
12 days fresh Oliver was an absolute dream to photograph. He certainly was the most adorable little bear. Snuggled up in my little log bed made by my hubby.
I love simple everyday life moments, to me, these are the moments worth capturing. Love how in this photo everyone enjoys themselves in their own way yet no one is left out.
A life miracle is this baby. When doctors didn't give any chance to him to survive, mom insisted to go forward, and no regrets do she has now. A healthy beautiful newborn that fills his parents each day with love and joy. Sometimes a mother's heart knows what's better for her child
Brother and sister. It’s so strong, so real...
You had to see these cute kids during the photo session. Such a close relationship between them, beautiful communication, strong love...love forever :)
This GORGEOUS momma-to-be came to my studio before our session to try on a bunch of my maternity gowns. She looked stunning in all of them so the choice of which gowns we were actually going to use was quite hard. Before she left I had mentioned that there is a gorgeous little lake at the spot we are taking photos and it would look cool if we did photos in the water, if she was willing. I honestly didn't expect her to say yes but she was totally on board.
When I was picturing photos in the water, I just pictured maybe going knee-deep and this gorgeous lady kept joking she should float on her back and while it was an awesome idea I expected the water to be the way too cold for that. But this girl is ADVENTUROUS and the water was surprisingly warmer than anticipated so her joke turned into a reality and I absolutely love how this turned out!!
The glow of motherhood is unmatched, although the glow of this setting sun sure did try. This was baby number four for this family, and they decided to keep the gender a surprise until birth. After staying snuggly tucked in a week longer than expected, the baby boy finally made is debut and got to meet his sisters and brother.
I took my beautiful baby girl to a Pomegranate field to take pictures for the New Year's Day greeting,
It turned out more beautiful than I expected.
Beautiful Typhanie wanted something very special captured for her maternity pictures, and we managed to do just that while walking through an amazing forest in Central France.
Isabelle having her first Christmas photoshoot. She was so perfect. :) Photographed at her home in Liverpool.
I'm extremely excited and honored that my photo has been selected for the 42nd Collection! The little one in the photo is my daughter, Keren when she was 10 months old. Not wanting to forget one detail of Keren's childhood. I just capture this special moment for her first golden autumn time.
This photo was taken in the forest what is my favorite place. Bella loved her dress and she was an amazing, little model. She plans to become a princess when she grows up. It was a perfect day with lots of fun ❤️
First of all, I fell in love with the Canadian Autumn for the rest of my life. On a beautiful September morning with the beautiful mom of 4th boys to be! How much finesse and kindness I found in her green eyes.
In ancient times, women from the Ethiopian community stayed in a separate home during menstruation and after birth, those women were not currently engaged in any work. They felt time and rest from their daily chores. The other family members who would pamper them and take care of all their needs.
Women during menstruation spent seven days in the other House or until the bleeding ended, postpartum women stayed there with the newborn, 40 days if a child was boy, and 80 days if a child was a girl.
Today, Ethiopian Jews continue in the ancient tradition of course, not the same way,
But when the child reaches 40 or 80 days they have a celebration.
On the foto:
Curious little July celebrates 80 days,
A magical moment with her mother in traditional clothes.
The end of Autumn's last colors. You can't tell from this beautiful mom that it was actually pretty cold around 30 degrees that day!
