By reducing the scene to light, shadow and gesture, I sought to create an image that speaks about family before family can even be seen.

For me, capturing the beauty of pregnancy means capturing the strength, grace, and miracle of life. In this shot, I wanted to portray the expectant mother as a work of art: elegant, light, yet immensely powerful.
